My craft room
My craft room, okay so maybe it’s a crafting corner, alright it’s a desk with a set of shelves next to it in a bedroom! Whatever and wherever it is it is still my little space, a place to craft to my hearts delight!
I found some cute little glass jars at a yard sale and I used those to hold my assortments of buttons, pins and whatnot’s. I also found some nice sized baskets for lace, ribbon and craft paints.
It is kind of amazing when you start looking around your house the things you can find to recycle into new holders for your crafting items. A vegetable can becomes a holder for pens and pencils, a Pringle’s container holds the paint brushes and so on.
There is also a small desk in the room for my granddaughter’s art projects, an over the sink shelf worked out perfect to hold her paints and still give her an open desk top for the amazing artistic work I am sure she will produce!
An old dresser has become holder to many of the, previously started but yet to finish, craft projects. I suppose I should put those on a rotating system like my pantry, so all the oldest ones get done first. Retro early 80‘s crafting here I come!
More Yard Sale
Another yard sale I went to at the home of a lady that had been a teacher for 35 years brought me a treasure trove of wonderful items. Besides wall maps and books of all kinds there was student pencil boxes, I got 25 of them for $1.00 I was so excited! Can you say storage boxes for beads, buttons, bows and all those glue sticks?
The pieces of wood I have cut out or collected have to remain outside in the storage shed, as do all of the odds and ends of old tin cans and railroad spikes. However one day they will be turned into great or at least good works of art. Until that time I will keep crafting away in my little corner of the room and loving every minute of it. I will be sharing some of those projects with you very soon.
Let me know what kind of recycled containers you have in your craft room. Talk to you soon!
