Growing up in central Nevada, I have been through all of this and more. I live where the nearest hospital is over a hundred miles away. Do I need to know basic first aid? I certainly do! • It is always good to have some basic knowledge to keep you from full blown panic attack until professional help arrives •
Now, you’re in an area where you have some local stores which are really great, but occasionally you are going to need to go to a bigger town for eye doctor, dentist or doctor appointments. Mine are all about 170 miles away so it isn’t just a quick five minute trip. I need to budget out for fuel for the truck (yep country girl, I drive a pickup) to and from the big town, appointment copay’s (if they take your insurance otherwise the whole amount due) and they have a lot bigger grocery and clothing stores. Good idea to try and stock up on groceries so don’t forget your favorite coupons.
